A Seminar on “Importance of Interfaith Harmony and Social Cohesion for a Peaceful Society” was organized by the Christian Study Centre, Rawalpindi in Sargodha after the tragic incident of the mob attack on a Christian Family. The seminar was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, District Police Officer, ADCG Sargodha, Government Officials, Police Officers, Members of the District Peace and IInterfath Harmony Committee, Representatives of the District Bab Association, Christian and Muslim Religious Leaders, Journalists, Academia and members of Civil Society Organizations.
Speakers appreciated the positive role played by the local administration, police, peace committee, and religious leadership in defusing and managing the volatile situation during the mob attack. Speakers also appreciated CSC for organizing a much-needed event that provided a chance to reflect on how to move forward to foster interfaith relations and curtail such untoward incidents in the future.
