Building bridges among communities through interfaith harmony

Overview

The programme has been implemented from 2011 in different areas of Faisalabad. The focused areas are Jhumra, Jaranwala, Sammundri, Tandilanwala, Gojra, Nankana Sahib and Toba Tek Singh. The purpose behind the intervention is, to strengthen the efforts of the grassroots partner organizations who work to sustain their efforts for social cohesion, peace and harmony in their areas.

Objectives:

  • To enhance and strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations and target groups in the areas of human rights, interfaith harmony and peacebuilding.
  • To enhance and strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations and target groups in the areas of human rights, interfaith harmony and peacebuilding.
  • Informal women and youth groups promote human rights, equality, and interfaith harmony resulting in social cohesion.
  • Community groups provide spaces based on respect, equality and justice for a more just and peaceful society.
