Dialogues Program for Spirituality, Ecumenical Formation and Inter Faith Praxis (PSEFIFP)

Overview
To inspire, nurture, and strengthen Christ’s teaching on Unity, Prayer, Love, and Justice, as we live in an Ecclesial Diverse and Multi-religious context demanding a deeply contextual ecumenicity. To emphasize the relevance of The Gospel in our contemporary development, and faithfully implement the new command to love the Lord God with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds, and most critically the command that we love our neighbors as ourselves (Mt.22:37-39). This displays the love of God for the world and our discipleship to that missio dei as stated in John 3:16.
The Christian Study Center is committed to Christian Unity and it is in such commitment that we will develop our objective as a broadly Ecumenical Program with a deep vocation for Justice, Unity and better understanding within our intra, (inter denominational) and inter-faith communities. We hope our efforts will continue to develop God’s mission (missio dei) in the midst of our diversity.
PSEFIFP Goal
- Reflect, understand, and implement the teachings of the Gospel on Justice, Peace, Unity, Prayer and Love, and in all this recognizing and celebrating our differences while encouraging collaboration in this diversity.
- Narrow the gaps and building bridges between various denominations, recognizing and respecting one another, and working together on common causes and goals with theological reflections.
- Re-examine and understand our Mission as the Church/Christians in Pakistan, in the difficult and, at times highly uncertain political and religious realities of the country with its discrimination, extremism and fundamentalism.
- Provide space and opportunity for the participants to experience and share in different worship traditions, where their diversity leads to finding ways of standing united in the presence of God.
- Work always towards a just, participatory and sustainable society which advances Justice and Rights and always works for a broader inclusiveness, especially in an age of unimaginable technological developments with their negative and positive social potentials.
